Because each wedding is unique, I ask that my couples contact me for pricing details. I prioritize relationship over raw booking number, and promise to never sell you more than you want or can afford. Let's talk about pricing together!
How much experience do you have?
I've been a wedding photographer for 7 years! Before I started photographing weddings I mostly focused on fine-art studio portraits and on events.
Will there be a second shooter?
A second shooter is included in some packages, but can be added to any package for a modest fee.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
You can extend any photography session, including weddings. In some cases upgrading to a higher package is more cost effective than adding elements a-la-carte, In which case I will recommend upgrading your package rather than paying extra. I will never charge you more than my best price.
What kind of gear do you use?
I use professional Nikon Cameras and Flashes. I've been a Nikon shooter since 2008, and I hope you agree that this gear helps me to create beautiful images!
I have a D850, Z6, and a D750. I primarily shoot weddings with a 24-70 f2.8E and a 70-200 f2.8E, but sometimes use more exotic lenses (portrait, macro, ultrawide, etc.).
Do I have to order prints through you?
No! I provide printing options through my website, but you are not required to order the prints through my store. My clients often ask me how to get their photos printed at a high quality, but more cheaply; and I am happy to recommend public-facing printing services.
What is your shooting style?
This is a hard question for a wedding photographer because we do so many different types of photography throughout the evening. Consider these times of day: Getting ready (candid), Ceremony (candid/event), Formals (Family Portrait, Couples Portrait), Dinner (Candid, Family Portraits), Programming/Dancing (Event). I am trying to document your memories, and so if I had to describe my wedding photography, I would call it "photojournalistic". During most of the day I will do minimal posing, and instead capture authentic moments as they happen.
Are you the same Evan Kristiansen that teaches at BU?
Yes! If you're a student of mine, welcome to my other passion! Don't forget that you probably have some studying to do before your next exam, so don't spend too much time on this website.
